Tianjin stainless steel manufacturers: polishing process of stainless steel products

Tianjin stainless steel manufacturers indicate that a smooth surface is a key feature of stainless steel metal products, playing a crucial role in maintaining their normal function. Therefore, the polishing process of stainless steel metal products is extremely important. According to the production process, the polishing process of stainless steel metal products can be divided into two steps: grinding and brightening. The main objective of grinding stainless steel welds is to remove solder points and achieve a surface roughness of R10um, laying the foundation for brightening. In summary, the grinding process includes three processes: fine grinding, semi-fine polishing, and fine polishing; three sides: two circles and one edge; and nine polishing machines and drive mechanisms. Details are as follows: 1. Tianjin stainless steel manufacturers indicate that before visual inspection, the workpiece transferred to the polishing process from the previous process should be checked for defects that cannot be remedied by this process, such as false welding, penetration, uneven solder points, far from the joint, partial dents, uneven joints, deep scratches, bumps, and severe deformation. If any of these defects are present, the workpiece should be returned to the previous process for repair. If none of the above defects are present, the workpiece proceeds to polishing.

Tianjin stainless steel manufacturers indicate that a smooth surface is a key feature of stainless steel metal products, playing a crucial role in maintaining their normal function. Therefore, the polishing process of stainless steel metal products is extremely important. According to the production process, the entire polishing process of stainless steel metal products can be divided into two steps: grinding and brightening. The main objective of grinding stainless steel welds is to remove solder points and achieve a surface roughness of R10μm, laying the foundation for brightening. In summary, the grinding process includes three processes: fine grinding, semi-fine polishing, and fine polishing; three sides: two circles and one edge; and nine polishing machines and drive mechanisms. Details are as follows: 1. Tianjin stainless steel manufacturers indicate that before visual inspection, the workpiece transferred to the polishing process from the previous process should be checked. If there are defects that cannot be remedied by this process, such as false welding, infiltration, uneven solder points, far from the joint, partial dents, uneven joints, deep scratches, bumps, and severe deformation, etc., it should be returned to the previous process for repair. If there are no such defects, proceed to the polishing process. 2. Fine grinding: Use 600# abrasive belt to grind the three sides of the workpiece back and forth. The purpose of this process is to remove solder points left by welding and protrusions from the previous process, thus achieving the initial shaping of the welding arc. There should be basically no major scratches or protrusions on the plane and the vertical plane. After this step, the surface roughness of the workpiece needs to reach R 0.8 mm. During polishing, pay attention to the inclination of the abrasive belt machine and control the pressure of the abrasive belt machine on the workpiece. Generally speaking, it is more appropriate if the polished surface is in a straight line! 3. Semi-fine polishing: According to the previous method of grinding the workpiece back and forth, use 800# abrasive belt to grind the three sides of the workpiece. The main purpose is to correct the seams in the previous process and the marks generated during further fine polishing and fine grinding, continuously grinding the marks of the previous process, so that the workpiece surface is free of scratches and basically bright. The surface roughness of this process needs to reach r 0.4 mm. (Remember not to create new scratches and protrusions in this process, as these defects cannot be repaired in later processes.) 4. Fine grinding: 1000# abrasive belt is mainly used to adjust and grind the wrinkles in the previous step, with uniform grinding method. The purpose of this process is to basically eliminate the seams between the ground and unground parts of the workpiece, and further brighten the workpiece surface. The workpiece cut according to this process should basically approach a mirror effect, and the surface roughness of the workpiece must reach R 0.1 mm. 5. Abrasive belt replacement: Tianjin stainless steel manufacturers indicate that 600# abrasive belts can polish 6-8 workpieces with a length of 1500 mm, 800# abrasive belts can polish 4-6 workpieces, and 1000# abrasive belts can polish 1-2 workpieces. The specific situation depends on the welding points of the workpiece, the pressure used for polishing, and the polishing method. In addition, when replacing the abrasive belt, pay attention to ensuring that the abrasive belt can rotate stably on the sponge wheel to achieve the effect of uniform cutting of the workpiece.
